By supporting the FSI, A4e is helping make a difference for millions of people in communities right across the UK.  There are over 160,000 small charities in the UK and FSI services are available free of charge to any of them.

Small charities often lack the skills and understanding to maximise their impact.  The FSI fills this skill-shortage with training and learning opportunities geared around fundraising and best practice in back office operations.   The assistance provided comes in lots of different forms: some charities access trainings, others just need a coffee and reassurance, others may need a forum to meet other charities and gain collective strength.

The FSI works with individuals and organisations that represent diverse, wonderful communities: it may be people desperate to help the plight of children from life-threatening illnesses, or to give abused women the shelter and counselling needed to rebuild their lives, or to help young people move their lives away from gang, knife and gum crimes.  These are the sort of passionate and committed people at the heart of their communities are the reason the FSI was born.
